Team Sho-Air/Cannondale's Jeremiah BishopMountain Biking is back!

Sho-Air/Cannondale team have been launched!

3..2..1..Surprise. This past weekend we kicked off the new team with a bang there have been fun media interviews packed with lots of questions and the excitement is building.

In the perfect backdrop of and sun soaked southern California dozens of Journalists Corporate brass from Cannondale and Sho-Air president Scott Tedro were on site! Our team RV, sprinter and support vehicles were wrapped like massive Christmas presented with a giant red bow on top. The mechanics were tuning the bikes; shifting gears and turning the wheels of a machine getting ready for something BIG. We had media training photo-shoots, video-shoots, technical product training a media ride followed by some tacos and beer! Serious fun! A team meeting took place to plan a diverse plan of attack aimed at the goal of being the number one mountain bike team in North America. Not often do you get this excited about something big in American mountain biking. Our team roster is outstanding and complete. We have riders that can win long, short, east coast, west coast, Canada, USA, stage-race, XC or enduro.

Pua Mata won the Pro XCT last season and is a long distance queen.

AG also known as Alex Grant is fresh of a killer silver at La Ruta and has 4 consecutive wins at the NUE Park City Point to point.

Tinker 2x Olympian and endurance racing legend.

New rider “the Mountie” Max Plaxton is on and will be tearing up the Pro XCT and select top international competitions.

I will be defending my wins at the major US stage races Pro XCT’s and a few international Stage races as well as a NUE 100 race here or there.

Josh Hays 3x American Super Bike Champ and Eric Bostrom a top American star moto racer and development guru; both are super dudes and ambassador athletes set to shred some dirt with us.

And just incase go-kart gets counted for, like some single speed worlds stage again Ty (Tyson) Kady will lead the team. Yeah he had to flex his manager muscle at the team go-kart bonding sessions. Still sore from it, but I will beat him with some practice!

We have the perfect bikes great components and sponsors including Sho-Air Cannondale, Enve, Maxxis tires and a well supported team behind us with a staff of four and 8 riders for 2013! Sky’s the limit!

Why now? Sure road racing has dominated the news as of late for all the wrong reason. This however has a bright side. Yep I said it. More and more people are looking for rewarding adventure in tarnished by BS.

Not even a tanker truck full of EPO can spoil a bitching MTB ride with friends.  Guess that’s why a lot of us got Into this sport I the first place, it sure is bringing many back too it!

Like climbing above the smog layer a panorama of astounding ridges and peaks going off road has become a reminder all problems are easy to tune out when your focused on railing a berm! The grand scale of the mountains the simple joy of block passing your ride buddies into the bushes, whoops jumps and canteen moments like blindly following buddies down “o shit lines” full of boulders and living to tell about over Tacos and cheap beer; that my friend is priceless!

Our ride with the media was just that, super fun for riders of all ability and fitness.

As ambassadors and racers we are sure to put on a show and have a blast doing it and if our go carting sessions were any indicator we should be pretty fast too!

I think it’s why more and more people are getting back to the roots and besides America is where this sport started. Companies like Sho-Air and Cannondale are leading the way again, back to the DIRT.
